Jed grew up in Harrod, Ohio. In 1997, he enlisted in the Air Force and was given a scholarship to attend Cedarville University. He graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2004, but more significantly, he met his wife, Courtney, at Cedarville. After college, they began Air Force life together and were blessed with four children, Leyton, Leila, Louisa, and Lydia. At the end of 2015, the Staleys returned to Lima, and in 2016, he completed a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary. Jed retired from the Air Force Reserves in 2021 and currently manages a senior living community in Lima. He is humbled and delighted to serve as an elder and youth ministry director at Grace Community Church. He loves talking with people almost as much as he loves coffee (which is a lot).
